Our Green Team works hard all year to ensure that our green is ready for action during the season that runs from April to September. From October to March we roll out our Club’s indoor shortmat. Our Club caters for all needs and there are leagues and competitions to enter if you wish to be competitive or, due to the hard work of our Fixtures Secretary, there are friendly and touring matches that appeal to the less competitive. You may even just want to have the odd roll-up with other members during the week. Bowls is a great way to keep fit and socialise while playing a sport you enjoy. Come and see for yourself what is happening at our great Club. If you have any questions please contact us by telephone or email. From 1st May to 31st August, a member is on duty to assist new and interested bowlers Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm and the Club coach is always happy to assist you. There is a warm and friendly welcome awaiting anyone who wishes to visit Babbacombe Bowling Club. Whether you are interested in playing bowls or just watching please feel free to pop in and see us
Captain’s Charity Coffee Morning
Saturday 9th November 2019 saw our annual Captain’s Charity Coffee Morning and which was well attended. There were various stalls including beautiful homemade items, cakes and a bottle tombola. We held two raffles – one for a fabulous Christmas stocking made by one of our lady members and the other usual bumper raffle with approximately 30 prizes. Thanks to everyone who made the event a successful one and for all the generous donations towards prizes. We are extremely pleased that we were able to raise £500 for The Torbay Eye Clinic which was this year’s charity and we were privileged to welcome the lady from the Eye Clinic to collect the cheque. Well done everyone !
With thanks to everyone, Marilyn Moodie and Keith Fursdon
