Opening Day

Well it finally arrived – Opening Day on Saturday 15th April. We welcomed the Mayor Cllr Mandy Daring who was accompanied by Penny her mother-in-law and Pepsi the black lab.  The weather was kind to us and everyone had a very enjoyable afternoon of bowling followed by sandwiches and cakes courtesy of the Catering Team.  Here’s to a great season !

 

Over 55’s League

Babbacombe have won V division of the Over 55’s League and therefore qualify for finals day on 14th September at Torquay along with the other divisional winners.

Today we welcomed Inco Bowling Club (from Coed Gwilym, Swansea).  What a lovely friendly bunch they were.  We all enjoyed a great game of bowling whilst having fun

On Saturday 25th June 2022 members took part in the Club’s Mixed Pairs competition.  Great turnout and well done to Rachel & Pete and Phyllis & Frank who got through to the final

Welcome to Babbacombe Bowling Club.Our club is open early April to the end of September for outdoor bowling. You will certainly be greeted with a warm friendly welcome, whether to play, have a taster of bowling (as there is usually help at hand during weekday mornings) or as a spectator.We have many touring teams visit us throughout the season and our Fixture Secretary is more than happy to accommodate your club.We are in the beautiful area of Babbacombe, with many amenities nearby. Cafes, restaurants, spectacular views across Lyme Bay and easy access to Torquay.We are fortunate to have free roadside parking on roads around the club plus a good selection of hotels nearby.We would be delighted to see you and meet you in person and thank you for browsing through our website which I hope has been of interest to you.Thank you.

You’ll always get a warm welcome at Babbacombe Bowling Club.  From 1st May to 31st August a member is on duty weekdays from 10am – 1 pm to assist new and experienced bowlers. 

If these times don’t suit you, click on ‘Contact Us’ give us a call and we’ll arrange for a member to meet you at the Club.  Flat soled shoes are required.
